Keebee products are safety tested to comply with the relevant regulations for the jurisdiction in which they will be used. Generally, jurisdictions (countries) will provide product safety guidelines that provide requirements for public-use play equipment intended for use by children aged 18 months to 12 years with anthropometric limits based on the 95th percentile. Amongst other concerns, these regulations will provide standards for head and neck entrapments, finger entrapments, tip over and balance issues, torque and tension issues, small parts, sharp points, edges and protrusions, as well as toxicity (heavy metals) and flammability concerns.
• In the United States, Keebee products are tested and are compliant to the CPSIA act of 2008, and conform to 16CFR and to ASTM F963.
• In Canada Keebee products are tested and conform to CRC.c931
• In Europe, Keebee products are tested and conform to En71, Parts 1, 2 and 3
• In Australia, Keebee products are tested and conform to ISO 8124
Specialized Technology Resources, Inc. (STR) is the official testing organization for Keebee products worldwide. STR is a global network of wholly owned and independent contract laboratories and inspection offices, offering a multitude of testing and compliance services to diverse markets. STR is worldwide, with staffing covering 6 continents and 39 countries. STR enjoys a multitude of international certifications and registrations as a global leader in quality assurance, product testing and materials design. STR has a highly skilled technical staff, state-of-the-art equipment and understanding of global standards to effectively monitor products through all stages of production. In our opinion, this network uniquely qualifies STR to design and execute quality product compliance and testing programs for Keebee products in all markets where Keebee products are used, including the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Australia and Europe.
Product testing is required and performed on an ongoing - as need be basis, as guidelines become revised and updated due to advances in the technology used in testing, as suppliers of building materials implement or introduce new materials, and as safety issues or concerns are made known to the industry at large and are addressed. Therefore, our safety documentation is ever evolving. Copies of standards and test results are kept on file and may be viewed at our head office or distribution offices upon request.
